Red Gibson Firebird Guitar – 3 Pickups & Gold Hardware

This Red Firebird Guitar with three pickups and gold hardware takes the distinctive reverse-body Firebird design and gives it a much more elaborate appearance. A rich transparent red finish is combined with three gold-covered pickups, matching gold hardware and a contrasting white pearloid-style pickguard, creating a guitar that stands apart from more traditional Firebird configurations.

The familiar elongated body and raised centre section retain the unmistakable character of the Firebird design, while the unusual triple-pickup layout gives this model a particularly striking appearance.

For players looking for something beyond the standard two-pickup Firebird, this model offers a much more distinctive take on the classic design.

Transparent Red Finish

The body features a rich transparent red finish that allows the natural character of the wood underneath to remain visible.

Rather than a flat solid colour, the visible grain adds depth to the finish and works particularly well with the guitar's gold hardware.

The result is a warmer, more luxurious-looking instrument than a conventional solid red electric guitar, while still retaining the aggressive lines associated with the Firebird shape.

Three Gold-Covered Pickups

One of the most distinctive features of this guitar is its three-pickup configuration.

Three gold-covered pickups run across the body, immediately separating this model from the more common dual-pickup Firebird design.

The additional middle pickup also gives the guitar a visually fuller layout, while the pickup selector and four-control arrangement provide access to different pickup sounds and tonal combinations.

For buyers specifically searching for a three-pickup Firebird guitar, this is the feature I'd make central to the product.

Gold Hardware

The extensive gold hardware provides a strong contrast against the transparent red body.

Gold pickup covers are matched with a gold bridge, tailpiece, control knobs and tuning hardware, creating a consistent red-and-gold theme across the instrument.

This is further contrasted by the large white pearloid-style Firebird pickguard, which breaks up the red finish and gives the front of the guitar a more traditional decorative element.

Block-Inlay Fingerboard

The dark fingerboard features large block position inlays, continuing the more ornate appearance of the instrument.

Combined with the body binding, gold hardware and decorative pickguard, these details give this model a noticeably more elaborate character than stripped-back Firebird designs.

Classic Firebird Body Shape

Despite the unusual electronics and colour combination, the guitar retains the defining reverse Firebird-style body shape.

Its long lines, offset proportions and distinctive centre section give the instrument a silhouette unlike conventional single-cut or double-cut electric guitars.

That makes this a particularly interesting option for players who already own more traditional guitar shapes and want something visually different.

Fixed Bridge & Tailpiece

A traditional Tune-O-Matic-style bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide a straightforward fixed-bridge configuration.

The setup avoids the additional complexity of a tremolo system while complementing the guitar's classic-inspired construction.

Both components are finished in gold to maintain the consistent hardware theme throughout the instrument.

A Distinctive Triple-Pickup Firebird

This isn't simply another colour variation of a standard Firebird.

The combination of a transparent red body, three gold-covered pickups, gold hardware, white pearloid-style pickguard and block inlays gives this particular guitar a very clear individual identity.

It's an excellent option for players attracted to the Firebird shape who want something more decorative and unusual than the traditional two-pickup versions.

Why You'll Love It

The biggest selling point here is that this guitar doesn't look like a standard Red Firebird.

Three gold-covered pickups immediately draw attention to the centre of the guitar, while the transparent red finish, extensive gold hardware and pearloid-style pickguard create a considerably more premium-looking aesthetic.
